  Welcome to Cleveland Clinic EMS Education

The Cleveland Clinic EMS Education web site provides a single resource for education and support to area Fire/EMS departments with information on all aspects of EMS pre-hospital care. Whether improving your skills or looking for specific EMS education topics for re-certification, the Cleveland Clinic EMS Education web site is a "one-stop shop" for educational needs and event information. We are dedicated to providing our medical control EMS providers with quality Continuing Education in a variety of clinical settings as well as online educational opportunities. There are several options for the EMS provider to choose from.

Online courses are open to Cleveland Clinic Medical Command Fire Department Personnel ONLY and are COMPLIMENTARY (FREE)

    • Online EMS Refresher Courses:
        - 30 hour EMT refresher and 48 Hour Paramedic Refresher 
    • Medical Control Facility Monthly EMS Continuing Education Sessions (See Training calendar)
    • Individual Online EMS Continuing Education Course Topics

    • Cadaver Procedure Lab- Cleveland Clinic Main Campus:

NEW 2019 NEO Regional Protocol Available

The NEW NEO Regional Protocol is available on the CECOMS website.
This protocol is a collaboration between Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, Metro Health and Southwest General. The official start date for implementation and update of the current Protocol App is scheduled for April 1,2019. Hard copies of the protocol will be issued to each department during the rollouts.

We are pleased to announce the release of the regional protocols on our FREE EMS Protocol app for mobile phones specifically designed for those functioning under the Cleveland Clinic Medical direction.

Hard copies of protocols have been disseminated to your departments by your respective Cleveland Clinic EMS Coordinators, as well as medication exchange and reconciliation.
All Departments under Cleveland Clinic Medical Control should be operating under the new regional protocol as of April 1, 2019.
